The book was called \u201cHome Brewing\u201d, by Mr. Graham Wheeler. So, thank you, Mr. Wheeler, you might be one of the most important people in my professional life, for the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From that point, things quickly turned into an obsession. Fellow brewers probably know what I&#8217;m talking about. Learning about brewing is a quest that knows no end. And learning is my bread and butter. So, I jumped into the brewing adventure. First as a home brewer, I made mistakes, ruined my kitchen, entered competitions, won some, and thought I might make a living out of it. What a crazy assumption, if you think about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About Cayon\u2019s brewery and the swiss craft beer scene<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Some years later, life gave me some time to really think about my brewery project, and I jumped on the wagon. I launched what is now known as Cayon Bi\u00e8re aka \u201cCayon\u2019s Brewery\u201d. The name comes from my surname, Lucaillon (meaning something like &#8220;the small Luc&#8221;, yes, ridiculous), which I was using to label my homebrews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I started in the cellar of a local winemaker in Aigle, with a 200-liter gas-powered brewing unit. The Swiss brewery landscape was experiencing a boom, and people were just discovering US-style versions of brews like IPAs, Stouts, and Saisons. I liked those and brewed them. I was lucky enough to get very good reviews and ratings from the start, and my reputation grew rapidly.
