Hallertau Blanc is a wine-inspired German hop — white grape and passion fruit for distinctive modern beers.
Bred at the Hüll Hop Research Center and released in 2012 as a daughter of Cascade, Hallertau Blanc is a modern German flavour hop inspired by white-wine aromatics. With moderate alpha acids (typically 9–12%), it offers an expressive blend of white grape, passion fruit, gooseberry and citrus with a delicate floral lift — reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc. Best used late, it brings a distinctive, wine-like fruit character to modern ales and fruity lagers.
