Released in 2000 by Yakima Chief Ranches, Simcoe is a cornerstone of the American West Coast style — instantly recognisable for its pine and resin character woven together with passionfruit, citrus and a distinctive earthy, dank quality. With alpha acids typically between 12 and 15% and moderate cohumulone, it works as both a clean bittering hop and a bold aroma hop.
