Cashmere is a soft, refined modern hop — gentle tropical fruit and apple-pear for easy-drinking beers.
Developed by Washington State University from a Cascade × Northern Brewer cross and released in 2013, Cashmere is a modern American dual-purpose hop with a soft, refined fruit character. With moderate alpha acids (typically 7–9%), it offers a gentle blend of tropical fruit, citrus, melon and a distinctive apple-pear note, smoother and less pungent than many modern hops. Its subtlety makes it versatile across styles from pale lager to IPA.
