One of the four classic noble hops and the benchmark against which German aroma hops are measured, Hallertauer Mittelfrüh has been grown in the Hallertau region of Bavaria for centuries. With low alpha acids (typically 3–5.5%) and a humulene-rich oil profile, it delivers the quintessential noble character: delicate, refined and elegantly balanced, with notes of flowers, herbs, spice and a touch of pine. Best reserved for late additions and aroma work, it lends authentic, time-honoured character to the world’s great lagers — the hop behind many iconic German beers.
