A modern American hop developed by Brulotte Farms in the Yakima Valley, Bru-1 has become a favourite of the hazy-beer movement. With high alpha acids (typically 13–15%), it can bitter cleanly but is prized for late and dry-hop additions, where it delivers a dominant, sweet pineapple character alongside stone fruit, melon and a hint of pine. Distinctive and juicy, Bru-1 is a natural fit for fruit-forward IPAs and pale ales.
