An Australian dual-purpose hop from Hop Products Australia and a sibling of Galaxy, Ella (formerly Stella) shares Galaxy’s mother but carries a German Spalt father, giving it a dual personality. With moderate-to-high alpha acids (typically 13–16%), it delivers soft floral, spicy noble-like notes in restrained doses, and bolder grapefruit and tropical fruit when used generously. Versatile across lagers, pilsners and dry-hopped ales.
